Behind-the-Wheel Training

Overview

Our Behind-the-Wheel training provides private, one-on-one instruction designed to build safe habits, confidence, and full readiness for California roads and the DMV driving test.
All lessons are 2 hours in length.

Training is tailored to the student’s skill level, whether you are a brand-new beginner, preparing for your test, or needing to rebuild confidence.

Regulations & Requirements

California DMV Requirements

  • Teens under 18:
    Must complete 6 hours of professional behind-the-wheel training and 50 hours of supervised practice (40 daytime / 10 nighttime).
  • Adults 18+:
    Must have a valid permit or license before driving.

Accepted Documentation (Required for Every Lesson)

To begin behind-the-wheel training, students must provide one of the following:

  • A valid California DMV Instruction Permit
  • A U.S. Driver’s License
  • A valid International Driver’s License issued within the last 3 months
    (We welcome international drivers who are legally permitted to drive in the U.S.)

Students must bring their permit or license to every lesson.

Scheduling & Availability

  • All lessons are 2 hours
  • Monday–Saturday: 7:00 AM–8:00 PM
  • Occasional Sunday sessions
  • Calendar opens 21 days in advance
  • Pick-up & drop-off available within service zones
  • Students outside service areas may train at our Encino office

Final pricing may vary slightly based on exact location and travel logistics.

• $170 per 2-hour lesson

• $465 for 6 hours (valid for 6 months)

• $750 for 10 hours (valid for 6 months)

• Additional lessons: $150 per 2 hours (after 10-hour package)

Zone 2

ZIP Codes: 91316, 91335, 91356, 91402, 91405, 91406, 91604, 91605, 91606, 91607, 90077

• $175 per 2-hour lesson

• $480 for 6 hours (valid for 6 months)

• $775 for 10 hours (valid for 6 months)

• Additional lessons: $155 per 2 hours (after 10-hour package)

Zone 3

• $180 per 2-hour lesson

• $495 for 6 hours (valid for 6 months)

• $800 for 10 hours (valid for 6 months)

• Additional lessons: $160 per 2 hours (after 10-hour package)

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment are subject to a $30 fee.
